Welcome

Kelly Keviño was born in Gary, Indiana, a steel mill town on the shores of Lake Michigan less than an hour from Chicago. Among his earliest memories are hearing the whistles of the frequent freight trains playing their minor chords throughout the night, and manually tuning in a weak UHF television station from Chicago to watch “Godfather of Soul” James Brown perform in a purple cape with his outrageously funky band.  Folk, Motown, British Invasion, Showtunes, Gospel, Blues, Classic Rock, R&B, BeBop, Cool Jazz, Singer/Songwriter ballads and loads of Pop, Pop, Pop went into his head and never really left, despite his later travels far from his roots.

At different times living in Colorado, California, Australia, Nepal, and Denmark (and traveling through all points in between), he finally settled in Vienna, Austria, another city with a rich but very different musical heritage. And it was here he got to work writing and developing songs with the musicians of Quinine Tribe for his debut CD - Yesterday Forever.
